Hi everyone,
I am 44 years old, mom of three and grandmother to one. I have been struggling for the last 6 Months to lose weight. I stepped on the scale one day and saw the number 198. I no way wanted to reach 200 and decided it was time to take control and focus on myself. For the last 6 months I have been working and struggling and have achieved a 22 pound loss. My goal is to get to 150. Also another goal of mine is to run a 5k at some point next year. I cannot run at this point very far at all, but i am going to achieve both of these goals. I am seeking all the support I can get. I have come to the point where most days I look forward to working out, but other days I still struggle. Diet choices are still hard, I was down to 172 but then Thanksgiving came along. The holidays are long and I want to succeed. So am I am looking towards a positive future because I have never felt more ready for the challenge.

Hi team members, My name is Carrie and I finally decided I need to take control of my life and get healthy. I am 41 years old 5'1" and 170lbs. I am sick of being overweight and unhealthy. It affects my relationship because I am so self conscious. I secretly eat because I don't want him to know what I am actually eating. I am embarassed. I can say I don't eat alot but what I do eat is fattening and unhealthy. I am a nursing student and work which puts a huge amount of stress on me and consumes a large amount of my time. My kids are grown and I have three beautiful grandchildren. I haven't been working out regularly but have a free membership to Snap Fitness I won from our Wellness Program at work. I know I need to prioritize my life and take much better care of myself, but I have a very difficult time sticking to it for the long haul. I know this has to be a life style change but I get so overwhelmed by where to begin. I tend to go overboard with eating right and exercising but then can never keep it up. I need to find a happy medium that I can live with. Anyone else have this same problem? I am hoping I can learn to make small changes that will not overwhelm me but will bring down the numbers on the scale and help me to become healthy. Good luck to everyone. Happy Thanksgiving.
Carrie
