The good, the bad and the ugly
Posted by: mrbks22 on
The good--The weekend is over.
The bad--I didn't get to work out Thursday or Friday and I can feel it now. I have low energy levels. I'm going to have a good solid two hour workout on Monday.
The ugly--I gained 5 pounds last week. I weighed on Friday and was so bummed out I didn't even post anything all weekend. I didn't update my weight until tonight. I have to apologize to all my friends...I didn't post any positive comments...I hope you all did great. I ate so bad over the weekend. I can't even begin to express how bad I feel right now...not so much guilty, just my body telling me I screwed up. In a way, I'm glad I feel this way because it is a reminder that I need to eat right. I didn't follow my own advice--I let one bad choice lead to another and another until the whole weekend was one long bad choice.
I'm going to rebound from this starting tonight. I'm back to eating right, writing it down, and I'm going to have my best week of workouts since I started. I don't know if I'll lose any weight this week because I ate terrible for nearly 3 days after I weighed, but I'll make up for it and do what I have to do.
I really appreciate reading your comments about how you're doing...whether it is a struggle you are pushing through or a victory you've had. It all helps me to realize I'm not alone in this and it DOES make a difference. So keep on sharing your successes and failures, your victories and defeats. We are all on our own journey and being in it with other people will help us to succeed. Have a great week my friends!
Easter Weekend Eating
Posted by: mrbks22 on
So, I challenged the team (on the team blog, since I couldn't get the challenge feature to work) to track and post their eating over Easter weekend. Soooooo, I guess it's only fair that I post my foods too!
Saturday--My boys spent the night with their Grammy, so we didn't get up until 11 AM!!! Wow, that was awesome. I'm so tired from working nights that by Friday I'm exhausted so sleeping in was a real treat.
11:30 AM--Grilled Cheese/Turkey on sourdough bread--500 calories
3:30 PM--yogurt, peach flavor--80 calories
7:00 PM--Homemade pizza (loaded with veggies)--480 calories
Saturday total=1060 calories....I know this is extremely low, but I went to bed at 10 PM, so I was only awake for 11 hours. I ate every 3-4 hours just like I would during the week, I just wasn't up very long today (my body needed it this week!)
Sunday
7:00 AM--One biscuit with egg --260 calories (I didn't use sausage or cheese like everyone else :(
9:00 AM--one sausage ball--90 calories
12:00 PM--two more sausage balls--180 calories (leftover from our Sunday School class--next time I hope someone else eats them)
2:30 PM--Easter Sunday lunch--ham, potato salad, corn, grape tomatoes, broccoli-rice, dessert (according to Fitday, the best I could come up with was.....)--1600 calories(yikes--that is almost a full days worth for me).
I didn't eat any Easter Candy!!
Luckily I went to bed at 5:30 PM so I could sleep before work, so the damage wasn't too bad for the total--2130 for Sunday.
I'll take it considering that it was a holiday and we had a huge potluck with family. I hope everyone had a blessed Easter!! Brian
