I've lost weight before (65 pounds in 1995) and I started working on losing weight again last March. I just plugged along until the weight started coming off, but wasn't really inspired by anyone in particular. Last season of the Biggest Loser (the one Michelle won) was the first time I watched the show and I was amazed at the incredible results the contestants were having. Those people were changing their lives seemingly overnight and it was overnight in comparison to the slow rate at which I was losing weight. Even with all the drama involving Vicki and Phil, I was still inspired that they could all make such a change in a short amount of time and I was conviced that I could change too--and not just for a couple of years, but for a lifetime. I have since seen another season of the show on reruns and am convinced that it is possible for anyone to succeed. Bob and Jillian are awesome to watch and even though their styles are different, both of them have a way of cutting through the emotional junk and getting to the root of the problem. I love it and love watching them at work. I wish I could see more of the stuff that doesn't make it into the show. When I have a moment of weekness, whether it is with a certain food or not wanting to do another five minutes on the elliptical machine, I try to imagine Bob or Jillian standing there saying "YOU CAN DO IT!!"
