The Biggest Loser League

One of my absolute favorite fast food meals (and something I still crave a lot!), is the McDonald's McChicken, french fries, and a coke. One of the problems with that is since the sandwich is so small compared to other burgers, I used it as an excuse to eat two. Or another small sandwich like a filet o' fish or a double cheeseburger. The McChicken has 360 calories and 11 g of fat. But eating two, I was consuming 720 calories and 22 g fat. If I had one of those other sandwiches I mentioned, it was even MORE! And that doesn't even include the fries! McDonald's french fries are just the best! A medium is 380 calories and 19 g fat!!! Then there's the soda, which is 210 calories and 58 g of sugar for the medium. My goodness! I was eating at least 1,310 calories and 41 g fat in just ONE meal (and it was usually just lunch)! That is almost as many calories that I eat in a whole day now! I am able to eat more food by eating healthy, and I feel the difference in my body by avoiding the greasy fast food. My body is thanking me! I am healthier, happier, and more energetic! I wouldn't trade that in! It's not worth it.

It's so tough to be able to go away and still eat healhy. I deal with it by planning ahead. I bring food with me, I hit up the grocery stores when I get to my destinations, I research what restaurants are close by and if and what healthy options they might have. I have also learned not to be afraid to ask for what I really need. Yes, my order might be complicated, but I deserve to put good stuff in my body. Planning ahead also might include letting myself indulge once in awhile. If I plan ahead for it, I know I can do it without feeling guilty about it. I also try to stay active and busy whereever I go, which usually  includes more planning. lol. So my big secret is just that... PLAN AHEAD!

Today was my weigh day, and I have been bustin my booty to reach that 100 pound milestone.. and today I did it! I lost 2.4 pounds going from 269.8 to 267.4. That is 100 pounds EXACTLY! I have to be honest, I was expecting a little more. That was 2.4 pounds in two weeks, and I ususally can do that in a week. I have been being soo good. Either it's all been mental cause I've been wanting it so bad, or I need to change things up a bit. I will work it out. I also wish it were a little more, so that I have a safety net. Reaching exactly 100 pounds makes me feel like it could go the other way next week, and somehow I could lose it. BUT, I need to stop worrying so much and just enjoy this victory! I've lost 100 pounds!!! WOW! I am so proud of myself. I never thought I would make it this far, and now I just know that I can keep going. That we can do this! Thanks everyone for always being there for me!
