Hi, I'm Kathy and live in Connecticut. I'm a huge sports fan, especially of the Red Sox and Patriots. I have struggled with my weight since I was seven (am now 46). I have lost weight in the past (one time 95 pounds, several others at 70 pounds), only to gain it back and more. When I looked at the scale at the end of October, I had reached 295 pounds, and it freaked me out. I always said that if I ever hit 300 I would consider lap-band surgery, something I really don't want to do. Anyway, since then I have tried to watch what I'm eating and tried to work out (not as successful there) and have lost 10 pounds so far. I have registered for Zumba classes (aerobics/latin dance set to Latin music--sounds fun!) which will be twice a week, so I figured that will help. Am hoping to lose another 5 pounds before the end of December. I know it will be difficult because of the holidays, but I think I can do it.
I have been a big fan of Biggest Loser since season 1 and hope joining the league will help me in this continuing journey to improve my health and outlook on life.
