I belong to OA which is a 12 step group for compulsive overeater/food addicts. During the holidays the best way for me to stay out of the food is to go to lots of meetings and use my phone to make contacts with others who struggle like I do.
Exercise is also key to me staying on track. Just walking if that is all I can do....that is some movement and helps me stay motivated to not overeat.
