I am continually amazed at the difference in the volume of food I'm eating now, versus what I used to think was an appropriate portion size. I am surprised that I am satisfied on less food, and the regular mini meals every 2-4 hours really has helped with some of the mind games I play with myself. Ok, if I want more cereal, I can have more at my next meal. EASY! But really, I am most shocked at how wrong I was when I wasn't measuring my food. Seriously contemplating getting rid of my large bowls and plates and just using the small portion-appropriate ones that I have....of course I will have to replace the larger ones with more of the smaller ones, but that's what $30? No biggie.
